Cascade Gran Fondo - August 18-20, 2011
The first annual Cascade Gran Fondo, hosted by Chris Horner, will be in Bend, Oregon, on August 18-20, 2011. "This is one of my favorite rides in Bend, Oregon. It shows some of the best views that central Oregon has to offer, which are also some of the best in the world. I'm excited to be able to showcase all that Bend has to offer to everyone who comes to visit."
There will be three events during the Cascade Gran Fondo, they include:
- August 18th - an "Evening of Stories" with Chris Horner that will be MCed by Dave Towle
- August 19th - a VIP dinner for sponsors, supporters, and top fundraisers from the ride
- August 20th - the 85-mile Gran Fondo cycling event through the Cascade Mountains with an all day expo/festival around the Start/Finish area
Registration for the Cascade Gran Fondo ride is available at www.cascadegranfondo.com. Ride participants will also have the option of fundraising for several great charities - including LIVESTRONG, World Bicycle Relief, and Mount Bachelor Ski Education Foundation. Top fundraisers will also receive complimentary tickets to the VIP dinner on August 19th.
Tickets for the "Evening of Stories with Chris Horner" at the Tower Theatre in downtown Bend, area available through the Tower Theatre's website.
The route for the Cascade Gran Fondo will be an 85-mile loop around Mt. Bachelor, through the heart of the Cascade Mountains.
